Srinagar March 06 (KNS): One day Seminar on Marketing on Apples "Issues and challenges" at Banquet hall srinagar  today on 06 March 2021. Director Horticulture Kashmir Dr Aijaz Bhat was chief Guest on this occasion.

The growers were informed about the different centrally sponsored schemes including support to individual enterprises, FPOs/ Producers/ SHGs under which the beneficiaries are provided technical knowhow, training, financial assistance, easy financial access, government registration, packaging besides branding and marketing support.

All the provisions of the schemes were elaborated threadbare during the session.

On this occasion Ram savak Director Horticulture (P&M) also spoke in seminar, besides,DD Manzoor Ah P&M, Shahid kamili, fcik president,Mr wafie CA stores, fruit association Presidents of various districts too spoke & participated, besides large number of fruit growers attended in seminar.

 We have to increase our production by introducing High density,and simultaneously on quality of fruit too. Focus on nursery Dev.Take round the clock care about pesticides.

Farmers need to work with us, jointly to improve the fate of this big employment giving sector.

The growers were given detailed information regarding pre and post harvesting management with a special emphasis on adoption of latest technologies and the use of organic manure to enhance the quality and quantity of the produce.(KNS)
