Sagar, others express unity with bereaved family

Srinagar, 24 September:(KNS) Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Vice President Mr. Omar Abdullah on Thursday condemned the killing of prominent Jammu and Kashmir-based lawyer and television panelist Baber Qadri, who was shot dead by unknown gunmen in Srinagar's Hawal area on Thursday evening.

Party vice president while expressing profound grief over the incident said the sense of tragedy was more because Baber had warned of the threat. “The jinxed fate of Kashmir snatched many such sons of the soil from us. I am deeply anguished to hear about the incident, more so because he had already warned about the intimidation and threats. The incident should not pass by without punishing the perpetrators of the heinous crime. I extended condolences to the bereaved family in their hour of extreme grief,” he said.

Party GS Ali Muhammad Sagar, Provincial president Nasir Aslam Wani, Spokesperson Imran Nabi Dar, YNC Provincial President Salman Ali Sagar have also expressed outrage over the killing of Baber Qadri, demanding a through probe into the incident. They demanded that his killers must be brought to book and justice be delivered in his murder case. The leaders have also expressed unison with the bereaved family.(KNS)
