Congress urges Govt to release their monthly remuneration

Srinagar May 13, (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) has drawn the attention of the Govt to the remuneration issue of Numberdars & Chowkidars.
JKPCC today urged the JK Govt to release the monthly remuneration of Numberdars, Chowkidars and other ground level workers, who have not been paid since a few months.
They (Numberdars and Chowkidars) play a significant role at grass roots level, besides working as a bridge between Govt and the common people, JKPCC said.
They also help the Authorities to implement the advisories, as well as the schemes sanctioned by the Govt from time to time, which could not be ignored, he said
Under the current circumstances they (Numberdars and Chowkidars) need to be strengthened inorder to ensure they perform their assigned duties on the ground to the best satisfaction of the people as well as the Govt, PCC said and described their role as significant at grass root level.
Depriving them of their paltry remuneration is very unfortunate, Party said.
JKPCC also urged the Govt to release the Salaries of the other Govt employees, whose salaries are withheld since three months due to some technical difficulty, as reported, emphasizing that Govt employees should be paid on the previous pattern till the technical difficulty, whatsoever, is addressed.
Why should the employees suffer on account of their salaries, PCC questioned and urged the Govt to release their salaries? (KNS)
