Handwara, March 17 (KNS): The residents of Sarmarg area of north Kashmir's Kupwara district have been suffering immensely due to non-availability of basic amenities at local new type primary health centre (NTPHC).

Zahid Maqbool, a local resident told KNS that they have the only medical assistant dispensary here in Sarmarg which remains closed four days in a week due to which the residents of Saramrg, Check and Monidora suffer immensely.

He said that they brought the issue into the notice of the concerned CMO Kupwara and BMO Zachldara but to no avail as they have failed to deploy staff to NTPHC.

Meanwhile, the residents appealed to the DDC chairperson Irfan Sultan Pandithpori and Mohd Sulieman Mir DDC member Rajawar to interfere in this matter. (KNS)
