Srinagar 13 March (KNS): over a week ago, after massive fire turned three story residential house into Ashes in Pandaan Nowhatta area of Central kashmir's Srinagar District, Fire victim family still awaits for compensation as promised by the District Adminstration Srinagar.

Life took an ugly turn for Mehraj Din shah when his property was gutted in the fire. The blaze reduced  house to ashes. Even after passing of over one week, he is putting up in Relative's house here along with 90 year old Mother.

The affected family member said that they are still awaiting for the  compensation as promised by the District Adminstration as we are living in a miserable condition.

However Additional District Devlopment Commissioner Srinagar, Syed Hanif Balki while talking to news agency-kashmir news service (KNS) Said that, the Compensation for the said fire victim is in Process and added that after the required formalities will get finalised,the compensation will be provided.

Pertinently, the massive fire gutted three story residential house of Mehraj Din shah in Pandaan Area of Nowhatta in Srinagar District on 04 March rendered them homeless, however cause of this fire was unknown.(KNS)
