NHM paramedical staff, docs should be regularized in honour of their services to society: Saroori



Kishtwar, June 05 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Party, Vice President, and Former Minister, G. M Saroori today appealed Lt Governor Girish Chander Murmu to regularize National Rural Health Mission (NHM) staffers.

“The covid warriors i.e. NHM doctors and paramedical staff members needs to be honored with their regulization who have completed seven years in service,” demanded Saroori.

In a statement issued to KNS, Saroori said, the grievances of doctors and paramedical staff members have been serving in Jammu and Kashmir should be heard and their genuine demands should be accepted. He said the NHM should be made a permanent health programme of the government with universal application and adequate financial allocation.

During the Covid-19 scare in Jammu and Kashmir, Saroori said, these warriors have been defecting lives of the poor people in rural areas while risking their lives. He said that the Government should come up with one comprehensive policy for their regulization at the time of pandemic.

“They need appreciation and reward for what they have given to the society though their service. They are our heroes and they should be given respect they deserve,” Saroori added. (KNS)
