Poswal demands ex-gratia relief to relatives of Karnah accident victims

Ishfaq-ur-Rehman Poswal BJP leader and national executive member ST Morcha today urged Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed to give ex-gratia relief of Rs five lakh each to the next of kin of victims, who lost their lives in tragic accident on Karnah-Kupwara road last evening.
“I appeal Chief Minister to give ex-gratia relief of Rs five lakh each to relatives of victims who lost their lives in tragic accident,” Poswal said in a statement.
Poswal today met the bereaved families including the family which lost four of its members in this tragic accident. He extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul.
Poswal condoled the death of victims and extended sympathies to the bereaved families. The BJP leader expressed serious concerns over increase in accidents on Kupwara-Karnah road and urged authorities to take adequate measure to improve the condition of road and strictly implement thr traffic norms to put a check on accidents.
At least 11 passengers who died in Sadhana pass road accident have been identified and their bodies were handed over to their relatives Kupwara for last rites on 12th of Aug. The dead include four members of a family from Gundi Syedan village of Karnah.
