Provincial Youth National Conference President Ajaz Jan on Friday charged PDP-BJP government for ignoring development and paying little attention towards maintenance of the utility services, especially in the far off areas like Poonch.

Addressing Youth National Conference workers at Surankote, Jan said that essential services like power and drinking water had taken nose dive and the people were being made to pay heavily despite scarce power supply. He said that certain areas were witnessing power cuts up to 20 hours and the irony is that the Power Development Department is harassing consumers instead of meeting the demand of power.
Referring to lack of civic amenities, Jan said that Surankote Municipality was virtually defunct as a result of which the local were suffering immensely. He also referred to lack of playfield in the area and hoped that the administration will look towards this urgently as sports hold key to physical and mental growth of youngsters.
The Provincial Youth National Conference President also expressed sympathy with the shelling sufferers in the forward areas and lamented that the ministers, instead of meeting the people, were getting themselves busy in other pursuits. He said the government has utterly failed to mitigate the sufferings of the border people.
The speakers highlighted the dilapidated condition of Buffliaz-Surankote Road and said that lack of bridge between Seri and Chawana had rendered many habitations inaccessible.
