National Unity Day: Delina Lifts North Kashmir Volleyball premier league Trophy

 

Handwara, Oct 31 (KNS): National Unity Day was celebrated on Saturday at Langate Army Camp in north Kashmir on this day the final of North Kashmir Volleyball Premier League were conducted as part of the celebrations.
The tournament was organised by Army’s 30RR in which 12 teams from various villages of North Kashmir's Kupwara, Baramulla and Bandipora Districts participated in the tournament with great zeal and enthusiasm.
The final match of the tournament was played today Bandipora and Delina . After a fierce match, Delina team was declared as the Champion of North Kashmir Volleyball Premier League.
According to statement issued to KNS said, The final match was graced by the presence of Maj Gen HS Sahi, YSM, SM, GOC Kilo Force, Brig MS Rathore, VSM, Commander, 7 Sector RR and Dr GV Sandeep Chakrarvarty, IPS, SP Handwara. The COs of 30 RR, 32 RR, 21 RR, 146 RR, 40 Bn BSF, various officials from the security forces, civil administration and huge crowd of approximately 300 including 95 women also attended the event.
At the end of the tournament, the GOC distributed prizes to the winner and runner up teams and expressed his satisfaction for active participation by the youth in sport activities, thereby bringing peace and harmony in the region.
Speaking on the occasion a senior army officer said that army will organise such events in future as well (KNS)
