National media broadcasts 'unfounded' about Kashmir: says pandit DDC candidate

Kupwara, Dec 10 (KNS): BJP candidate from north Kashmir's Kupwara district on Thursday said that whatsoever is being broadcasted on national media over Kashmir is "unfounded", saying migrant pandits are ready to return to their homeland.

Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Rajini Kumari who is contesting DDC polls from Qadirabad block of Kupwara alleged national media of resorting to "biased" coverage about Kashmir situation. She said "Whatsoever is being portrayed on national media about Kashmir and its people is unfounded".

Kumari said that people of Kashmir loves deeply their pandit brethren who are eagerly waiting the day they return to their homeland. She alleged that despite announcement of rehabilitation policy for the community, Government seems non-serious about their come back to valley.

She asserted that BJP recieved ample support from Kashmiri's as they had been looted and cheated from last 70 years. "There is no development from seven decades, massive unemployment is recorded and peace given no chance to prevail", she said.

Expressing anguish over insufficient arrangements by administration, Kumari said though people in bulk are coming to polling centres to cast their votes but "inadequate" and "insufficient" arrangements in place are creating problems to electorates.

"I'm purely fighting this election for people to ensure their development", she added. (KNS)
