In a statement issued to KNS, Nasir Hussain said that the mela kheer bawani is symbolises the multi-religious and tolerant ethos of the Jammu Kashmir which has been an epitome of harmony and brotherhood since ages. Nasir Hussain appeal to people to strengthen the bond of togetherness between various sections of the society which Jammu and Kashmir has been proud of.

In his message, Nasir Hussain urged the Pandit community to pray for the Jammu Kashmir prosperity and peace. he wished the day to be the harbinger of happiness and development in Jammu and Kashmir. Nasir Hussain said that for centuries the celebration of the Mela kheer bawani has been an epitome of harmony and brotherhood in the Jammu Kashmir and there is a need to strengthen the bond of togetherness between various sections of the society.(KNS)
