My decision not driven by anything pre-planned : Basharat Bukhari

Srinagar, Mar 16 (KNS):   Senior Political leader and former Minister Basharat Bukhari said that his dissociation from National Conference is not and never driven by any pre planned (next) political alignment nor tie up with any political body.

Speaking exclusively to Kashmir News Service” (KNS), Bukhari said, "Its reason is imbedded in the present political uncertainty prevailing in J&K."

He added, "Right now I am engaged in a consultation process with my colleagues active across the political spectrum of the land (J&K) and also with my colleagues of Sangrama Halqai Intikhaab."

Regarding the future course of action, he said, " A decision based on concensus shall overwhelm the future course," he told KNS.

In a major political development, Bukhari had disassociated himself from the party on Friday afternoon.

Bukhari had conveyed his decision through a hand written communiqué to Party President Dr. Farooq Abdullah and urged him to acknowledge the “expression.” “Very respectfully, I hereby disassociate from the party (J&K National Conference) from this day 12th of March 2021, Friday onwards. Please be kind enough to acknowledge the above mentioned expression and oblige.” Bukhari wrote in his letter to Farooq Abdullah. (KNS)
