Srinagar, Sep 08:(KNS) Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) J&K chief spokesman Altaf Thakur while reacting to Awami National Conference (ANC) vice-president Muzaffar Shah’s move of filing an FIR against BJPState President Ravinder Raina, BJP National Vice President Avinash Rai Khanna, National General Secretaries Dr Anil Jain, Murli Dhar Rao and MoS in PMO Dr Jatinder Singh, said Muzaffar Shah has grown older and is a failed politician left with no option other than to take steps in haste to stay relevant.
In a statement issued to KNS, the BJP spokesman said that Muzaffar Shah has never contested elections and just a few people know him in Kashmir. “He is left with no option other than accusing BJP top leaders with something they have never done. This reflects Muzaffar Shah’s frustration and his failure in politics,” Thakur said, adding that leaders like Dr Jitender Singh, Ravinder Raina, Murli Dhar Rao and Dr Anil are BJP’s grace and have global repute across the world let alone country. “All these leaders are a qualified lot and not like Muzaffar Shah, who has not been able to keep its party intact. The fact remains that ANC is a mother-son party that too with the active support of National Conference. Despite the fact, Muzaffar Shah’s father G M Shah has ruled J&K, not more than a dozen people know ANC,” Thakur said.
He said filing an FIR against top BJP leaders will lead Muzaffaar Shah in trouble as he will not be able to prove is allegations.
“I suggest Muzaffar Shah to stay home, relax and give time to his family as he has grown older. Instead of hurling accusations against BJP leaders, he should work towards development of Kashmir,” Thakur said. He said that ANC has been reduced to a mother-son party at present and is almost non-existent.
Thakur said that India belongs to every Kashmir and there is no threat to any citizen from Valley. “All Kashmiris wherever they are in India are as equal as any Indian citizens and are safe,” he said and asked Muzaffar Shah to refrain from giving irresponsible comments.(KNS)
