Govt turns terrorism hub into a tourist hub, elections will be held in J&K with full transparency

Baramulla, Oct 5(KNS): Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday targeted Farooq Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti saying thry have ruined the youth of Kashmir with stones and guns in their hands.

Addressing mega BJP rally in northern Kashmir's Baramulla district, the union Home minister said that these two families have ruined Kashmiri youth with guns and stones in their hands for the last seventy years which has now been replaced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi with laptops and mobile phones.

"For the last 70 yrs, Mufti's and Abdullah's were in power here but didn't provide housing for the 1 lakh homeless people. Modi ji gave homes to these 1 lakh people between 2014-2022," he said.

"Earlier, this was a terrorist hotspot, now it's a tourism hotspot. Increasing tourism in J&K has given employment to a number of youths here," he added.

The home minister futher said that all people should understand that terrorism has not done any good in any corner of the world. "Electricity has reached every place in our Jammu and Kashmir while these developments are not seen in Pakistan occupied Kashmir at all," he added.

Shah also said that as soon as the work of compiling the voters' list is completed, elections will be held in J&K with full transparency.(KNS)
