Hospital left "unattended" by administration; patients, attendants breach SOPs

Srinagar, Sep 05 (KNS): Medical superintendent of District Hospital Handwara among two doctors tested positive for the novel coronavirus on Saturday.
Reports reaching to Kashmir News Service said that two doctors including Medical Superintendent of DH Handwara tested positive. Official of DH Handwara confirmed the reports and said both have been sent to strict quarantine.
Earlier Deputy Medical Superintendent of the same hospital turned out to be positive for the novel coronavirus who later on recovered from the infection.
Meanwhile two days ago, a video of DH Handwara went viral on social media in which patients and attendants can been seen violating the SOPs and not wearing the face masks.
An official wished not be named told KNS that administration has left the hospital unattended. He said doctors are already overburdened with bulk of responsibilities who can't persuade patients and attendants to wear the mask. He clarified that doctor’s work is to treat patients and they are doing it effectively on the forefront.
However when KNS tried to contact Additional Deputy commissioner (ADC) Handwara and Tehsidlar Handwara Aijaz Ahmad, their phones came continously not reachable. (KNS)
