Mohra Uri Residents Without Water Supply From 15 Days

Uri, July 09 (KNS): Residents of Mohra village of north Kashmi's Uri town on Thursday appealed authorities to ensure drinking water supply in the area and warned if service not to be restored soon, locals are compelled to hit the roads.

Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), residents of Mohara village of Uri alleged that the area is without drinking water supply from fifteen days which has left the local population into trouble.

They said amid scorching heat which is increasing day by day, the locals are suffering even for a single drop of drinking water. They alleged that despite repeated attempts of approaching PHE officials, but they failed to address the genuine issues of residents.

"No official of PHE department paid heed to our pleas. Be it Executive Engineer or AEE, everyone failed to provide relief to villagers" locals alleged.

They added whenever the matter was taken to higher ups of PHE, they passed on it to subordinates only and miserably failed to deliver any good for people.

Locals appealed higher authorities to intervene into the matter and resolve the genuine grievances of local population and warned if further dilly-dallying tactics are played, locals will hit the road and all responsibility lies upon the officials of Public Health Engineering. (KNS)
