Modi govt burdening poor, common man by unreasonable hike in petrol and diesel rates : Congress

Jammu, June 22 (KNS): Congress has lashed out at the Centre government over the continuous rise in the rates of petrol and diesel which has crossed all limits burdening the common man in the worst economic situation.
JKPCC Chief Spokesperson Ravinder Sharma has said that the unprecedented hike in petrol and diesel during the past more than fifteen days, regularly has brought the prices to touch skies despite low rates of crude oil in the international market. The govt is insensitive to the plight of poor and common man who are worst hit due to economic slow down and covid - 19.
in a statement issued to KNS reads, the govt earlier suddenly hiked the rates in an unprecedented manner, when the crude oil rates were at the lowest in twenty years but the benefit of the same was not given to people who are consumers but consumed by the government and oil companies. The government earned more than one and half lakh crores during the period. When people are hard hit.
This kind of anti people and the unsympathetic approach of Modi government is totally unacceptable and the govt should roll back the prices of petrol and diesel in order to bring down prices of all other commodities too especially in this covid crisis. (KNS)
