Srinagar, July 13 (KNS): A minor boy died due to drowning in a stream in chogal handwara area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Monday evening.

The deceased was identified as Omar Farooq Son of Farooq Ahmad Shah resident of Chogal Handwara

Reports said Omar, drowned in a nallah at Chogal while taking bath along with other local boys.

An eye witness said the minor’s body was retrieved later from the nallah by locals.

Deputy superintendent District Hospital Handwara Dr Aijaz also confirmed the death of Umer Farooq (KNS)
