Pulwama, Nov 06 (KNS):A militants was killed, while as another surrendered before security forces in an ongoing encounter in Meej Pampore area of South Kashmir's Pulwama district.

Reports reaching to Kashmir News Service said that after one unidentified militant was killed, the other hiding militant was once again given an offer to surrender which he accepted and surrendered before the forces.

On Thursday evening joint team of Army's 50 RR,CRPF and SoG of Jammu and Kashmir police launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) on specific information about the presence of militants in the area.

A senior police officer also confirmed the killing of an unidentified militant and surrender of another militant.

He also said the searches in the area is going on being asked the identification of the salin militant he said that the identification of the slain militant is being ascertained.

Meanwhile, internet services remain snapped in Awantipora police district as a precautionary measure (KNS)
