Srinagar, Oct 6 (KNS): An unidentified militant and a PSO of a BJP worker was killed at Nunar Ganderbal in central on Monday evening in an attack.
“The (militant) fired upon one BJP worker at Nunar Ganderbal. He is safe,” police said in a tweet, “However his one PSO was injured in this incident. One unidentified militant got killed in PSOs retaliation,” police said in a tweet earlier.
However Sources told KNS that PSO identified as constable Altaf Hussain of Eidgah Srinagar who was shifted in critical condition to SKIMS Soura succumbed to his injuries.
SSP Ganderbal Muhammad Khalil Poswal confirmed the killing of a militant and SPO of the BJP leader in the attack.
" We killed the attacker militant on the spot of attack and also lost PSO who died on way to hospital after receiving bullet injuries," he said. " We have launched a search operation in the area." (KNS)
