Srinagar, August 28:(KNS) Terming reaction of senior NC leader Mian Altaf over his telephone call to him as “over reaction,” Khalid Jehangir on Friday said that it was not for the first time that NC leader had to speak to BJP national general secretary Ram Madhav.
In a statement to KNS, Jehangir said, “Ram Madhav Ji had arrived in Kashmir for 2-day tour and he had to visit my hometown Ganderbal , In that context I called Mian Altaf sahib and informed him that if you want to speak to him over phone you can call on my number.”
“It's not for the first that Ram Madhav and Mian Altaf had to speak on phone. When Mian Altaf sahib 's daughter had expired, Ram Madhav had to spoken to Altaf sahib over my phone and offered his condolences,” he said.

“I feel Mian Altaf sahib has overreacted to the situation by issuing a politically immature statement. He should have acted in a more matured way rather than issuing a statement which depicts desperation,” Jehangir said.

“I want to remind Altaf that political leaders keep on talking each other like Farooq , Omar and two NC Members of Parliament met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi last year. Similarly other political leaders from Kashmir, have met Amit Shah Ji, Ram Madhav Ji and other political leaders before and after August 5, 2019. Let's not fool people,” he added.(KNS)
