Srinagar April 1 (KNS): PDP President and former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has conveyed her support to the call for countrywide  unity of the opposition parties West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress Party Chief Mamta Banerjee.

Taking to micro blogging social networking site twitter Omar wrote "Agree with @MamataOfficial di that in order to protect our democracy & its cherished values it is imperative for the opposition parties to unite. @derekobrienmp @AITCofficial"(KNS)
