Baramulla, September 15:(KNS) As part of recently launched Jan Abhiyan which aims to deliver public services at people's door-steps, mega income certificate distribution mela was today organized across Baramulla district during which hundreds of income certificates were distributed among the beneficiaries.

In the connection, Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Dr G N Itoo paid visit to several tehsils where he distributes these certificates.

Speaking on the occasion, DC highlighted the significance of the Abhiyan and said that the campaign aims to deliver public services in an efficient and hassle free manner. He said that income certificates are especially being issued among the students in a speedy manner so that they can avail benefits from different scholarship schemes.

Dr Itoo said that 100% saturation will be achieved in individual beneficiary schemes adding that special focus shall be given to the effective implementation of welfare and developmental schemes in the upcoming Back to Village- 3. He also urged the people to come forward and avail the benefits of various welfare and developmental schemes.

Earlier, the DC met several deputations and individuals who appraised him about their issues and grievances. DC gave a patient hearing and onspot passed directions to the concerned authorities for the redressal.(KNS)
