Massive response to ' speak up India' campaign by INC for migrant labourers : Ravinder Sharma 

Jammu, May 28 (KNS):A massive response was witnessed on social media as Lakhs of  people apart from active Congress workers of Jammu and Kashmir today joined the     Congress (INC)     organized  nation wide campaign on social media-''speak up India'' for the cause and issues of financial support to migrant labourers. 
The entire national and leadership of all states including Shri Rahul Gandhi,  Smt Priyanka Gandhi and LOP Rajya Sabha Shri Ghulam Nabi Azad besides JKPCC President G A Mir and crores of activists and workers across India participated in this campaign,  which was joined and viewed by lakhs of persons in J and K  too. 
  In a statement issued to KNS, Chief Spokesperson of JK Congress Ravinder Sharma has said that lakhs of common people apart from Congress workers participated in Jammu and Kashmir too,   to this online campaign named '' speak up India '',  to impress upon the Centre government to give financial assistance of Rs ten thousand to each labourers family besides monthly assistance for next three months. The demand also includes doubling the work days under MGNREGA from 100 to 200 days and financial packages for the poor and small traders and businesses men. 
   The entire leadership of the party on their online Facebook campaign highlighted the plight of migrant labourers who underwent great sufferings and faced hunger and death during the period of lockdown, due to lack of adequate facilities for their food , shelter and travel and transportation. 
  The leaders blamed the government of mismanagement and neglect of the migrant labourers as a result there were lot of heart rending scenes witnessed on the roads. 
  The massive response from the general public to the social media campaign has reflected the anger and concern of the people and the support to the genuine demands of INC for the workers and poor people especially migrant labourers, said chief Spokesperson who also welcomed the inter3vention of the Supreme Court in the matter of migrant labourers.(KNS)
