Ganderbal November 09:(KNS) Under the directions of Assistant Director CAPD Ganderbal Dr Naseer Ahmad Baba (KAS) Three TSO'S of Sub Division Kangan including Haji Javaid Ahmed Magray, Fayaz Ahmed, and Manzor Ahmed bhat conducted an intensive market inspection in Kangan Town and adjoining areas to check the quality and prices of essential commodities.

During the course of inspection, the team thoroughly checked business establishments which include Mutton Shops Kiryana Shops and other were penalized on spot for violation of the provisions of Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 and Essential Commodities Act.

A total fine of Rs 3000 was imposed against the defaulters besides adequate quantity of stale edible items and vegetables were seized and destroyed on spot. (KNS)
