Srinagar November 24:(KNS) In a press release, to KNS, today, Ab Majid Wani former J&K Minister said that he has never been beneficiary of Roshni Scheme implemented in J&K. Neither he or any of his family members took benefit of the controversial Roshni Scheme. He totally denies and condemns the newsitem published in a local daily, in which he was shown as one of the beneficiaries of the Roshni.
Regarding his house built on three kanals of land, he bought that piece of land from Munshi Khan and Bhaagwan Brothers in Nawabad Jammu way back in year 1994. He started construction of house in Nawabad Jammu in 1995 which got completed in year 1997. The same house, he and his family has been living since year 1997. The said housing colony in Nawabad Jammu is on state land which is awaiting regularisation like many other housing colonies.
Majid Wani made an appeal to all those spreading false news to desist from publishing or sharing of this news through any print, electronic or docial media, further. Otherwise, he'll consider taking legal course of action against those trying to tarnish his public image(KNS) .
