LG Sinha inaugurates J&K Police Women’s 2020 in Anantnag


Anantnag, Sept 19 (KNS): Lieutenant Governor J&K Manoj Sinha on Saturday inaugurated J&K Police Women’s 2020 Cricket Tournament at Degree College, Anantnag.
According to KNS, Lieutenant Governor Sinha congratulated the young players for their efforts and wished them a bright future. Teams from southern districts including Anantnag, Kulgam and Pulwama will take part in the tournament.
SSP Anantnag Sandeep Chaudhary has been organizing various activities for youth development in South Kashmir. Last week a chess tournament was organized in which 130 young men and women participated.
This is the first time that a Women’s Tournament is being organized by Anantnag Police. All participating teams will be provided kits, travelling allowance. The winner and runner up teams will get trophies and cash prizes.
At the occasion famous Indian cricketer Suresh Raina was also present who interacted with teams during inaugurating session.
Advisor Farooq Khan, Principal Secretary Home Shaleen Kabra, IG Kashmir Vijay Kumar, DIG SKR Atul Goel and Deputy Commissioner Anantnag were also present on the occasion. (KNS)
