Srinagar, June 12 (KNS): Jammu and kashmir police on Friday claimed to have arrested a LeT militant with arms and ammunition in Police in Khujpora Zainapora area of shopian in south Kashmir.
According to police statement issued to KNS said, Shopian along with security forces have arrested one active Militant of LeT and recovered arms and ammunition from his possession.
Based on credible information a cordon & search operation was launched in village Khujpora Zainapora by Shopian police along with 1RR in which one active militant Zahir Ahmad Khan son of Mohd Yusuf Khan resident of Khujpora has been arrested.
Incriminating materials including arms & ammunition were recovered from his possession. As per police records he was linked with LeT.
Case FIR No. 60/2020 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Zainapora and further investigation has been initiated, the statement said . (KNS)
