Lal Bazar Premier Football to be held from 21 Sep, 16 teams to allowed for participatio

Srinagar, Sep 18 (KNS): The Lal Bazar premier league organized by Lal Bazar Sports Club will kick off at Shaheed Millat Ground, Lal bazaar from Monday, 21st September. The tournament was placarded before a week where teams got enough time to gear up themselves.
The tournament is staged at the home ground only where teams will be vying for the title. The first match will be played between competitive teams which will be eye catchy for the spectators where one team will bite the dust.
The exhibition cum inaugural match was played on Friday between Shalimar United vs Hazratbal Football Club where both the teams were brisk and ready to hunt. In the first half of the game, Khalid Qayoom Khan of Hazratbal FC sets the thames on fire by scoring the first goal from the center field. Scoring another two goals in the second half of the match by Khalid Qayoom Khan counted as a hat-trick for him. The Hazratbal Fc totally ruled the roost by winning 5 goals against Shalimar United.and bear the palm.
Mr. Salim Kaloo, Management person said, Shaheed Millat Ground is one the stadiums which has witnessed all the legend players who are currently playing professionally. The strong legacy of this stadium has to be revived with great action and spirit of young players. This is our dream to keep the stadium as a vibrant football hub.
Zameer-ul-Hassan, a player of Jk Forest, on asking the motive of the tournament said, “The tournament is carried out with the main objective of identifying the young aspiring players and providing them a platform to showcase their talent and skills. This is our attempt with hammer and tongs to facilitate the deserving players to play in well-known teams in the future”
Management further mentioned that we are thankful to all of those who contributed financially to make the event possible and the conduct of locals and other star players towards this tournament was very commendable. The sports club is intending to carry forward such tournaments in the future as well. (KNS)
