Srinagar,July 29 (KNS):Owners from different areas of Kashmir have demanded that government must re-tender the under taking of RT-PCR testing as they were unable to apply as the link was down.
Applications where invited from ICMR approved labs for undertaking RT-PCR testing along with reporting as orr ICMR testing protocols of samples from J&K for COVID-19 as and when required.
However, most of lab owners said there was only online option available however from last few days link was very down and they could not apply as link was down.
They demanded that government must re-tender it so that more lab owners cab apply.
They requested Lt Governor, Chief secretary and authorities of health department to look into the matter and re-tender it immediately.
Pertinently government in an order recently has said that in view of the flow of returnees to J&K including students, labours etc intermittent continuity and in reference to the SOP for regulating the movement of migrant workers, stranded students and others followed by the spurt in no of positive cases among returnees as well as the other indigenous cases within J&K as approved by the competent authority, on line proposal(s) are invited from ICMR approved labs for under testing as and when required.(KNS)
