Kukroosa - Waisa road in dilapidated condition, residents appeal DC Kupwara to intervene

Handwara, Sep 01 (KNS): Residents of various villages of Ramhall Rajwar in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Tuesday complained that Kukroosa- Waisa road is in dilapidated conditions since long and appealed Deputy Commissioner Kupwara to intervene into it.
According to KNS, the residents said the black taping was done few months back but the patholes have surfaced again, resulting inconvenience to the general public.
They said they have informed the officials of R&B division Handwara several times but their plea has failed to get their due attention.
The residents also said that the passenger vehicles are denying to ply over the stretch due to its pitiable condition. They added drivers are reluctant to ferry their vehicles on the track as bumpy walk over the road leads to damage to their vehicles.
Ghulam Ahmad, a resident of Kukroosa, told KNS that the pathetic conditions of the road giving them tough times to reach their destination. He added besides general public, patients and students often face acute hardships due to dilapidated roads.
Residents appealed DC Kupwara Anshul Garg to intervene into the matter and take measures for maintenance of road. (KNS)
