Administration should ensure smooth supply of essential commodities in Ramadan

Srinagar, 21 April (KNS) Kashmir Traders & Manufacturers Federation (KTMF) which is headed by the incarcerated leader Haji Muhammad Yaseen Khan, has wished Holy month of Ramadan to be harbinger of well being, progress and prosperity for the mankind especially in the present times of COVID-19 pandemic which has engulfed the whole globe.
In a statement issued to KNS, KTMF acting President Manzoor Ah Bhat said on the commencing of 9th month of Islamic Calendar Ramadan which is observed as the month of fast by Muslims across the globe provides us occasion to seek Allah’s munificence and forgiveness. “Fasting not only teaches us the courage to counter hardship, but also plays a key role in strengthening brotherhood, truthfulness and positivity in the society," he said.
Bhat said, “whole population is marred by the COVID-19 pandemic right now and our economic worries have worsen therefore we should start from our neighbourhood and look for the deserving by helping them without any show-off”. He underlined that fasting also teaches us to help the needy who are deprived from basic necessities due to their poor economic conditions.
Bhat also said, “administration should ensure smooth flow of essential commodities during the Holy month of Ramadan and there should be special vigils made to put an eye on profiteers and stockpiling during the holy month. It is government’s utmost duty to assure continuous supply of electricity, gas and water during Sehr-o-Iftaar timing”.
Also keeping an eye on current economic situation fellow traders selling medicine and essential commodities should sell their goods at discounted rates to provide relief to the people”, Bhat said.
Bhat said that, “while seeking blessings of Almighty Allah at their respective homes during the Holy Month people should also hold special prayers individually for an end to the disastrous disease which has engulfed the whole world”.
