KTA decries power outages, says traders suffering huge losses

Srinagar November 04:(KNS) The Kashmir Trade Alliance (KTA) today flayed the Power Development Department (PDD) for failing to provide uninterrupted power supply to the business establishments of the Valley.
In a statement to KNS, Aijaz Ahmad Shahdhar, President KTA, said: “The traders have expressed serious concern over the erratic power supply being provided these days. Winter is yet to arrive but hide and seek of power supply has started in advance.”
He said while the traders were facing several problems due to the erratic power supply, others especially the students too were complaining.
“The businesses have taken a hit due to frequent power cuts and others too are complaining. This time students are preparing for their examination and poor power supply is hampering their education,” he said.
Shahdhar appealed the PDD to take the issue head on and provide quality power supply to all consumers.(KNS)
