Srinagar, Dec 13 (KNS): Expressing outrage over the artificial crisis, shortage and black marketing of meat in valley, Trade Alliance (KTA) Sunday demanded the government to resolve the issue with mutual understanding with stakeholders.

According to Kashmir News Service (KNS), President KTA said that artificial shortage of meat has been created in the valley for more than a month now, as a result of which people are facing severe hardships.

"After fixing the price, most of the butchers' shops are closed, and some black sheep's are selling meat at extra prices in their houses" Shahdhar said.

Welcoming the constitution of the committee by Government, Shahdar said that committee should immediately submit its report so that this stalemate could be resolved and the people could also be relieved of their problems.

He added Government should take up the matter with with stake holders and it must be addressed in the light of public sentiment, so that artificial scarcity may be eliminated, and butcher shops may be opened.

Shahdhar demanded the administration to take stern action against those butchers who take advantage of the compulsions of innocent consumers. (KNS)
