Kashmiri students studying in KWMC Bangladesh appeals for early evacuation

Srinagar, May 11(KNS): Kashmir based students studying in Kumudini Women’s Medical College Bangladesh on Monday appealed authorities for early evacuation to their homes.
According to Kashmir News Service (KNS), students appealed Union and UT governments to take immediate steps and ensure their evacuation to their homes in wake of Covid-19 pandemic as they are stranded there from several weeks.
“With due respect, we the students of KUMUDINI WOMENS MEDICAL COLLEGE BANGLADESH would like to bring in your kind notice that we have been keenly waiting for enrolment in evacuation list as second returnee list has been updated and we are nowhere existing which disappointed us”, students said.
They requested authorities to look into the matter at an earliest.
Pertinently after countrywide lockdown against Covid-19, thousands of students, labourers, patients and their attendants got stuck in parts of country and abroad who repeatedly appealed authorities to ensure their return to their homes. However after drafting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for evacuation of stranded passengers across the country by Union and UT governments, efforts are on to bring stranded Kashmiri students back to their homes.
