Karnah cultural club protest over exclusion of Pahari from official language of J&K

Karnah, Sep 8, (KNS) Pahari cultural club Karnah in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Tuesday protest here over exclusion of Pahari language from official languages of Jammu and Kashmir union territory.
According to Kashmir News Service (KNS) Pahari Cultural club Karnah carried out a peaceful protest in Tanghdar appealed to centre Government to include Pahari as official language of the union territory the member of Pahari cultural club Karnah showed strong resentment and anger against the total neglect of pahari language in union terretory.
Condemning the exclusion of Pahari language from the bill the members of cultural club said" Paharis have separate cultural identities and the language are widely spoken across the Jammu and Kashmir " they said that the decision of the government has created anger among the people who speak this language" the member of Pahari Cultural club
Threatened to launch an agitation if the government does not review its discriminatory move against the pahari community.
Notable on September 2, the Union Cabinet approved a Bill under which Kashmiri, Dogri and Hindi, apart from the existing Urdu and English, daclared official languages in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir after There is a strong resentment and anger across union territory among pahari community over exclusion of pahari language.(KNS)
