Kadfeen urges Govt not to neglect Tribal community amid COVID 19 lockdown

Srinagar, April 08 (KNS): Congress leader Kadfeen Choudhary has expressed serious concern over the plethora of hardships the tribal community in Jammu and Kashmir is facing due to the lockdown amid the COVID 19 outbreak.

In a statement issued to KNS , Kadfeen said that there are perturbing reports coming in from far flung areas of Valley wherein the tribals are facing immense difficulties in availing basic facilities like ration, kerosene and required medical aid.

Already a community that has been at the forefront of the neglect, Kadfeen said the tribal community scattered across various far flung and inaccessible areas of Jammu and Kashmir have been denied the emergency medical aid and ration amid the prevalent lockdown. “If we in the urban areas are facing hardships due to the lockdown, imagine the plight of the tribal communities who are braving all odds to sustain amid the current trying circumstances,” said Kadfeen.
