Junior doctor relieved not terminated: JVC Administration


Srinagar, April 23 (KNS): Authorities of SKIMS Bemina today clarified the news that a doctor posted in Srinagar was terminated after he refused to use low be quality PPE kits.
Taking to KNS, they said, " the person in question was a junior resident doctor. He was not a permanent employee and was engaged for three months on 12-10-219 intiallly. The continuation of these engages depends on their satisfactory work and conduct.
Dr Asif Ali Bhat ( code no JR-1166) Junior Resident in the department of emergency and accident is hereby relieved from this institution today on 20-4-2020, reads the relieving order issued by Principal JVC Riyaz Untoo.
Taking to KNS , Principal JVC Riyaz Untoo said, " He was not a permanent employee. He was on a tenure period. He had misbehaved with senior doctor who is incharge stores. The doctor in writing had complained that the junior resident doctor tried to hurl a chair to Incharge stores and was saved by other employees. This is unbecoming of a doctor."
He added that there is a proper procedure laid down by Government to take up grievances with higher ups (KNS)
