Srinagar, Nov 30 (KNS): JK Teachers Forum announced its support and Cooperation to the Govt's move of "Enrollment Drive" in goverenment schools and emphasised upon all District & Zonal Leadership to extend their positive role and support to concerned Educational authorities so that the drive will gain a momentum.
In a Statement issued to KNS, President EJAC and Chairman JK Teachers Forum Mohd Rafique Rather extended its support and cooperation to Education authorities in its Enrollment drive calling it an innovative endeavour to attract the students from 6- 14 years for enrollment in goverenment schools move
Mr. Rafique Rather has advised its Central, Provisional, District and Zonal Leadership to participate in the move by offering their positive role in making the drive successful.
Rather while seeking cooperation from the parents said the performance of Govt Schools for last several years is satisfactory and results are improving at a rapid speed and added that giverenment is provinding several facilities in goverenment schools including Free text books, free Uniforms, MDM etc. Even Govts schools offer the facilities of scholarships & platforms to the skilled youth.
He said, that Goverenment School teachers are highly qualified, efficient, skilled and dedicated and are ready to deliver in provided there is required infrastructure in place, he said that decling enrollment has put a question mark on our credibility which we need to take care of.Describing teachers a significant cog in the educational wheel he said that teachers have proved their mettle in difficult times and expressed hope that they will continue to contribute in a better and efficient way and added that most of the reputed Doctors, Engineers and Civil Servants are the products of Govt School.
He Issued a directive to its leadership to constitute zonal level team of its volunteers who will lead the drive at doorsteps of masses and will furnish the weekly based reports to concerned District President for onword submission to JK President teachers forum Mohd Afzal Bhat, who will look after and monitor the whole process of drive and progress thereof, he shall also issue directives to jktf cadre in this regard so that the enrollment drive gains momentum. He urged upon central and provincial leaders to be part of the drive in their concerned areas and to guide and facilitate the teachers by seeking cooperation from Civil Society and PRI`s (KNS)
