Among other issues, concerns of teachers regarding IMPACT training raised

Srinagar, Sep 17 (KNS): Continuing with its follow up exercise pertaining to the issues of teachers, a high level delegation of Jammu Kashmir Teachers' Forum led by its president Mohammad Akbar Khan called on Director School Education Kashmir, Mohammad Younis Malik, in his office Chamber. According to statement issued to KNS reads, Flanked by State treasurer Showkat Ahmad Shaster, DP Baramulla Javid Ahmad and DP Srinagar Farooq Ahmad Lasjani the delegation apprised him about the apprehensions of Grade-II and Grade-III teachers vis-a-vis the ongoing IMPACT training programme. Worthy Director, known for his employee friendly approach, gave a patient hearing to the issue which has created uproar among Grade-II & Grade III teachers.
While Assuring the delegation of an immediate redressal of the issue, the officer issued on spot directions to all concerned for making the training programme teacher friendly keeping In view the aspirations and emotions of teachers. The delegation raised several other issues craving for official attention. The issue of adjustment of erstwhile SSA headteachers, Confirmation of 2014 batch masters, time bound promotion cases of teachers falling in the domain of the respective CEO's and issuance of Grade II/III orders in favour of erstwhile SSA R.eT's whose orders were stuck owing to some adverse report were raised. The humble officer said that he is actively working for the resolution of these issues. Acknowledging the great work done by teachers in the ongoing pandemic, the worthy officer said that he is very much impressed with the way teachers have managed things in extremely difficult situations.
Later in the day, the delegation visited Directorate of SAMAGRA Shikshya Abhiyan and met Coordinator Trainings (UT of JK), Gh.Rasool Mir.The delegation put forth certain concerns of teachers before him. The delegation informed the worthy Officer about the locally prepared formats prepared by DIETs at their own level. It is pertinent to mention that the DIET prepared formats have created and environment of confusion and uncertainty among teachers. Mr.Mir said that teachers do not need to go through any format prepared at district level by DIET's because NCERT has not as yet approved any format for training feed back. Worthy Coordinator issued immediate directions to all the DIET principals in this regard. The delegation thanked the officers for their pro-teacher attitude.

FOR THE INFORMATION OF TEACHERS A BRIEF SUMMARY OF WHAT HAS CHANGED AFTER THE MEETING IS GIVEN HEREUNDER

1) The assessment meant to be done at the end of the training has been done away with.
2) As mentioned above, teachers do not have to prepare any format prepared by DIET's. The existing format for feedback issued by DIET's will be revised.
3) For any subject, teachers have to prepare a lesson plan on their "teachers diaries".
4) All the teachers will undergo this training and nobody will be left out.

In a statement released this evening, the presidentMohammad Akbar Khan, said that teachers forum is constantly striving to get the issues of teachers resolved. While hailing the contribution of teachers, the president said that teachers forum will take all measures to uphold the dignity of teachers. (KNS)
