JKSSB approves the Selection List of 199 Junior Assistants under PM Package and 46 Laboratory Assistants for Health Department

Jammu, April 21 (KNS): Continuing with its drive to fast track recruitment process relating to Non Gazetted posts referred to by various Indenting Departments/Agencies, J&K Services Selection Board (SSB) today in its 168th Meeting approved selection list for the 199 posts of Junior Assistant Posts under PM Package and 46 Posts of Laboratory Assistants pertaining to the Health Department. Soon after the decision of the UT Government directing for opening of Government offices from 20th April, 2020, the Services Selection Board (SSB) without any loss of time resumed its activity and approved the selection lists for 245 posts relating to Junior Assistants (PM Package) and Laboratory Assistants (Health Department).

The aforesaid meeting was held under the chairmanship of Mr. Khalid Jahangir, Chairman J&K SSB which among others was attended to by Members, namely, Mr M.Shafiq Chak(KAS), Mr. Angrez Singh Rana (KAS),, Mr. Pritam Lal Atri (KAS), Ms. Harvinder Kour (KAS) and Controller of Examination JKSSB Musheer Ahmad Mirza(KAS). Secretary, JKSSB Mr. Ranjeet Singh ( KAS) and other officers of the Board assisted the Board in the conduct of proceedings.

The above mentioned posts of Junior Assistants are part of the PM Package for Kashmiri Migrants and were referred to the J&K Services Selection Board (SSB) by the Department of Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation & Reconstruction in the year 2017. Subsequently, advertisement notice was issued by the SSB in the year 2017 which was followed by written examination as per the selection criteria fixed for these posts. Accordingly, selection list in tune with the laid down selection criteria was prepared which has been approved by the SSB today in its meeting referred to above. Similarly, the posts of Laboratory Assistants were referred to by the Health & Medical Department in the year 2015 for the purpose of making selection in accord with extant rules in order to fill these vacancies.
It would be relevant to add that the Board since February has released selection lists against more than 1800 posts of various categories which include more than 1100 selections of Health & Medical Ediucation Department in addition to 157 Naib Tehsildars. Moreover, the Board has also released about 150 withheld recommendations giving immense relief to the candidates. The Board it has been given out, will further speed up the recruitment process against the vacancies which have been referred to it by various Government Departments subject to the lifting of restrictions imposed in view of the current lockdown.

Earlier the Board in its 164th Board meeting decided to seek preferences from the candidates for the post of Junior Assistants (Migrants) as a special case, to ensure speedy and maximum filling of vacancies sanctioned under PM Package for Kashmiri Migrants.(KNS)
