JKAP wins chairperson, vice-chairperson posts in Srinagar 

 

Srinagar, Feb 06 (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party has won both the chairperson and vice-chairperson posts of Srinagar district development council on Saturday after a meeting of the newly elected members was called to elect the chairperson and vice-chairperson. 

As per the details available with the news agency KNS, JKAP candidate Malik Aftab bagged 10 votes out of the total 14 votes while his rival candidate Kasier Ganai of JKNC polled just 3 votes. 

One of the members was absent during the election meeting that was called today by the district election officer. 

As per the details JKAP has also won the vice-chairperson post after its candidate Bilal Bhat secured 9 votes out of the total 14 votes against his rival candidate Manzoor Bhat of PDP who polled just 4 votes while one member was absent.

Pertinently, PAGD had fielded joint candidates for chairperson and vice-chairperson post against JKAP. (KNS)
