JKAP demands potable water supply for doda town and it's vicinity.


Srinagar July 02:(KNS) Doda town and it's surrounding villages have witnessed surging cases of typhoid due to consumption of contiminated water supply.

The outbreak of mass typhoid cases has resulted in more scare among locals than COVID 19 pandemic.

In a statement issued to KNS, Senior Apni Party Leader and former cabinet minister Ghulam Hassan Mir has urged the administration to address the grievance related to drinking water and solve the issue permanently in affected areas.

Mir also said that the administration should provide potable water to locals through water tankers till the issue is addressed permanently and Jal Shakti department should ascertain the facts of water quality parameters of water supplied to residents.

The administration should also send special medical teams to treat patients of water borne disease in affected areas ,Mir further added.(KNS)
