Baramulla, Sep 12 (KNS): In continuation to it's slogan, "Reach out to every Child" JK Teachers Forum organised a day long teachers conference in the auditorium of Govt Degree College Baramulla. Dr G.N itoo District Development Commissioner Baramulla was Chief guest, while as ADC Sopore, Principal Govt Degree College Baramulla, Chief Education Officer Baramulla, Principal DIET were guest of honor on the occasion. However the conference was presided by Mr Mohd Rafique Rather Chairman JKTF. Besides, glaxy of intellectuals, academicians, administrators, religious scholars, civil society members & large number of Teachers attended the conference. 18 Teachers from 18 Zones were conferred with (Best Teacher Awards 2019-20) for their best performance during Covid19 in reaching out to the students through different modes of non-conventional methods.

The conference begins with the welcome speach presented by Mr Ishfaq Ahmad Shah District President JKTF Baramulla.
Speaking on the occasion District Development Commissioner Baramulla Dr G N Itoo while acknowledging the role played by the Teachers Forum for the betterment of the education system said that the organisation has been helping the administration in its smooth functioning in very difficult & complex situations.
He said that teachers are the torch bearers but the way our teachers have put in their best in extremely adverse conditions is appreciable.
He said that the services of teachers were used by the District administration during Covid19 crises & they were the front line warriors besides other crucial assignments.
He also added, that he was delighted to attend the program of JKTF which has been the back bone of education system of J&K.
Recalling his period as DSEK, he said, that he has a close liaison with the leaders if JKTF & applauded their role in assisting the administration from time to time. He appreciated the leadership of JKTF for initiating to award teachers for their best performance, expressed hope that the organization will continue to encourage teachers by conferring such awards.
Professor Dr Irshad Ahmad Wani former Director Kashmir University North campus while speaking on the occasion highlighted the need for teachers to remain relevant in the new normal situation. Elobrating his views he urged upon the fraternity to take pandemic as challenge and reach out to every child which is the theme of this conference. while appreciating the role of JKTF in recognizng the dedication of teachers by presenting awards to them.He urged the leadership to continue such awards ceremonies in future as well.

Chairman Jammu Kashmir Teacher's Forum Mr Mohammad Rafique Rather while speaking on the occasion praised and appreciated the teachers who have restored to reach out the child during this pandemic resorting to different innovations in the new normal situations. He expressed his satisfaction that the teachers have adopted non conventional ways and worked tirelessly for the poor students despite all ordeals and challenges
Deliberating the role of JKTF regarding academic and reaching out to the children he assured that JKTF will leave no stone unturned in this regard. The rank and file of JKTF is committed to play a vital role in mitigation of the challenges that our teacher fraternity face during the unprecented hardships that the pandemic has imposed on us.
The speakers who put forth their views in the conference included Mr Pir Nisar Ahmad Gen Secretary JKTF, Mr Mohammed Ashraf Mir Vice Chairman JKTF, Mr Mohammed Amin Khan Vice Chairman JKTF, Prop Mohammad Ismail , Mr Abdul Qayoom SSP Baramulla, Mr Parvaiz Sajad ADC Sopore, Mr GM Lone Chief Education Officer Baramulla.

In the concluding session Mr Nissar Ahmad presented vote of thanks to participants.(KNS)
