J&K Police in collaboration with Deptt. of Health, Medical Education organizes Plasma Screening Camp


DGP, J&K compliments COVID-19 warriors and appeals for Plasma donation, says J&K Police will facilitate donors

Srinagar, July 22 (KNS): As a the collective fight against COVID-19 Jammu and Kashmir Police in collaboration with Department of Health and Medical Education today organised a Plasma screening camp at Kashmir Nursing Home, Gupkar Srinagar.

The camp was inaugurated by Director General of Police, Jammu and Kashmir Dilbag Singh. ADGP (Cood.) S.J.M. Gillani, IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar, Principal Govt. Medical College Srinagar Dr. Saima Rashid, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, SSP Srinagar Dr. M. Haseeb Mughal, Medical Superintendent Police Hospital Dr. Bilal Raja, Head of Department of Pulmonology GMC Srinagar Dr. Naveed Nazir Shah, Medical Superintendent Kashmir Nursing Home Dr. Talat Jabeen and other senior police, medical officers were present on this occasion.

Under this initiative the J&K Police personnel who had contracted the infection and have recovered will be voluntarily donating their plasma.

According to statement issued to KNS, Speaking on the occasion the DGP, J&K complemented the donors, doctors, para-medical staff, police personnel for the collective fight against the novel coronavirus. He appreciated them for doing a marvellous job in safeguarding the health of the masses and ensuring their safety.

He further said that about 300 police personnel have recovered and will be screened for donating their plasma. He appealed to the recovered patients of the society to come forward and donate their plasma for saving precious lives. He also appealed to the personnel from other forces who had contracted to this disease and have now recovered to donate their plasma which will help in saving the precious lives.

He assured that J&K Police will facilitate the volunteers willing to donate their plasma and will provide help at any place in shape of transportation etc to such volunteers. The DGP also prayed for the speedy recovery of the people, police, CAPF, army personnel who have been infected with novel coronavirus and return to their duties.

He also assured that J&K Police is always available to provide help, assist and multiply the efforts of the Department of Health in the fight against COVID-19.
