J&K Bank commissions ATM in Durbuk


Srinagar, Jan 5: (KNS) J&K Bank has commissioned Automated Teller Machine (ATM) at BU Tangtse in Durbuk –sub-division of the Union Territory of Ladakh. The bank’s In-charge Zonal Head Tsewang Dorjai inaugurated the first on-site ATM in the presence of Sarpanch Shashukul of Tangtse and a gathering comprising of valuable customers and local residents.
Speaking on the occasion, Tsewang Dorjai said that the dedication of ATM for the public at places like these testifies the bank’s commitment to make the world-class banking and financial products, services available to people of the region irrespective of their location or status.
The Sarpanch Shashukul lauded the bank led by its CMD R K Chhibber for commissioning the ATM thereby fulfilling the long pending demand of the people living in the area with sub- zero temperature. Those present on the occasion hailed the bank’s efforts in providing them technology-based banking services at the nearest possible location.
Notably, after commissioning of the ATM, the number of such machines in UT Ladakh has reached 49.(KNS)
