Jaish’s mastermind of recent Car bomb attempt among 3 slain militants: IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar

Srinagar, June 3 (KNS): Inspector General of Police Kashmir Vijay Kumar on Wednesday said that an IED expert of Jaish-e-, Muhammad outfit who was the mastermind of the Car Bomb was among the three militants killed in Pulwama encounter.
He identified the jaish militant as Abdur Rehman alias Fouji Bhai, Fouji Baba.
Terming his killing as "big successs" for the security forces, IGP Kashmir said that he has participated in Afghan war, and was the mastermind of Car Bomb that was detected and destroyed by the security forces in Pulwama on May 28.
Addressing a presser here at Police Control Room (PCR), IGP Kashmir said three Jaish militants including the IED expert of the outfit were killed in an encounter at Kangan village of Pulwama.

“Rehman was active since 2017 in Kashmir. He belonged to Multan Pakistan," he said according to KNS.
Regarding the identity of other two militants, he said, " both seem to be locals. We have called some people to identity the slain and if they turn out to be locals, their parents will be allowed to participate in their burial,” he said.

On being asked whether security forces have eleminated the IED experts of Jaish outfit, the IGP said that there are two more Jaish militants- Waleed Bhai and Lamboo Bhai- foreigners- expert in making IEDs.
He also said security forces have identified the Jaish chief Abdullah Rashid Gazi, who operates in Khrew area of Pulwama district and is hiding in the woods.
"He will be neutralized once he comes down and we can even catch him where he is hiding. We give credit to our source base that we have identified the Jaish chief otherwise Jaish outfit doesn’t disclose the names of its head,” he said.

The IGP who was flanked by army and CRPF officers put the number of militants killed this year to 75 and majority of them were commanders.

He said police has categorized Over Ground Workers in A, B and C categories. “Public Safety Act will be slapped on A category OGWs, B category OGWs will be arrested and C category OGWs go through counselling and then released.” the IGP said.(KNS)
