Srinagar 05 May (KNS): Many villages of kandi area in Baramulla district are reeling under the darkness since the starting of Holy Month of Ramazan. The villages which are reeeling under darkness includes MuranTangwari, Rajpora Shumlaran and Nowgam,Sultanpora,Dodbugh etc.
The residents of these villages complained about the continuous power cuts.A local resident said "before the starting of the Ramadhan we were getting nearly 12h/day electricity, now the schedule has changed but it is not properly followed by the grid station Chandoosa and we are forced to use candles in this 21st century and take sehri in darkness".
The irked residents appealed the Deputy Commissioner Baramulla to look into the issue and also threatened to launch protest if the problem is not solved soon. (KNS)
