Srinagar, April 14 (KNS): People's Conference (PC) senior leader Imran Raza Ansari on Tuesday urged Lieutenant Governor Girish Chandra Murmu to take concrete measures to ensure the safety of Kashmiri's outside state and take steps for their safe return due to continuous lockdown across India.

In a statement issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), PC leader said over the past few weeks, in a time, when countries are coming to terms with a global health pandemic, Kashmiri's stranded in different parts of country are in a very miserable plight. Their condition is unbearable and requisite needs have been exhausted due to which many of them have developed psychological symptoms of depression which is not good for their health.

He said students stranded in Bangladesh, Amritsar, patients who had gone for treatment, pilgrims who returned back from Iran, Iraq and Syria are stuck outside J&K.

He requested Lieutenant Governor Girish Chandra Murmu that maximum of them have completed their quarantine period of 14 days and have been tested negative repeatedly. He furthermore, appealed that the said people should be provided proper accommodation and food by the state government whereever they are stranded or phasely brought back to Srinagar by Indian Air Force or by road on priority basis, by whatever, means it will be possible by the administration.
