Rafiabad, September 11 :(KNS) Continuing its anti smuggling drives Forest control room Baramulla and Forest Protection Force Baramulla in a joint operation seized around Four horses laden with illicit timber to the tune of 35 cfts; besides Five culprits apprehended on Spot.

A team of Forest officials of Baramulla Forest Control and Forest protection Force Baramulla led by Range Officer Forest Control Room Baramulla & AD FPF bla laid a Naka near sadipora Rafiabad and seized four Horses along with 35 cft illicit timber.
The accused apprehended on Spot hasbeen identified as 1.Mohd Hussein khan 2.Ab Qayoom khan 3.Rafiq Khan 4.Mohd Ashraf khan R/o Lariagan Rafiabad and Zubair Ahmad khan R/o Kitru Naribal

Acciording to KNS reports the smuglers confessed that the illicit timber was removed from compartment no 18 of Bramen Forest block in Rafiabad Forest Range and the illicit consignment was being meant for Ali Mohd Najar of Ferozpora Rafiabad

Meanwhile the department is in process to register formal FIR against the Culprits in this regard.

Divisional Forest officer JV Forest Division Baramulla Pervaiz Ahmad wani confirmed to KNS that Four horses ;illicit timber has been seized & five Culprits have been apprehended on Spot ; besides Formal case is being Registered under the provisions of Indian Forest Act .(KNS)
